In the course of it’s business, Webineyes provides webinars and other on-line events, with the purpose of supporting those involved in eye care to develop their knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects through continuing education. By the purchase or receipt of a Webineyes Pass, you enter into an agreement with Webineyes from the date of purchase. By downloading, installing, loading, participating or otherwise using Webineyes goods or services, you agree to all terms and conditions of this agreement. Webineyes does not guarantee your development of knowledge, skills, continued education points or any related accreditation.
By payment and registration for a webinar, consent is given for your application details to be provided to Zoom to enable set-up of the webinar. Zoom is the platform used to provide the webinar. You can view Zoom’s policies on their website: https://www.zoom.us/legal
A webinar presenter may provide reference materials for your use during or after the webinar. These may include: slides, recordings or other material. These materials are for personal/non-commercial use only. The content must not be modified or republished in any way without the prior consent of the presenter. If you seek to reproduce, distribute, show or otherwise use the content in any way it is your responsibility to obtain approval where necessary. Any breach of copyright, including recording, showing the presentation or any unauthorized use of the material may result in legal action.
Webinar links and References
Webinars may contain links to other websites or references over which Webineyes has no control. Webineyes makes no representations about the accuracy of the information contained on such websites, books or documents, nor is it liable for such. Webineyes does not accept responsibility for your privacy or security on such websites.
The webinar platform Zoom enables the recording of webinars and other online events. By joining a session, you automatically consent to these recordings. Such recordings may be made available to you and others, at some stage, on the Webineyes website. Those LIVE events that have been approved for continuing education (CE/CET) opportunities may also have the same opportunities for points from viewed recordings.
Webineyes reserves the right to change or cancel webinar presenters if required and if this is the case, changes will be updated as soon as possible on the Webineyes website at www.webineyes.com. By purchase of a Webineyes pass, you accept that the speaker line-up or number of webinars is subject to change at any time.
Webineyes is not liable for the content or quality of any presentation, webinar or other training event undertaken by a 3rd party Presenter. No responsibility is taken by either Webineyes or any Presenter for the achievement of your expected learning outcomes.
Continuing Education Accreditation and Points
The accreditation of “Continuing Education Points” is sought in advance from selected professional bodies for selected types of eye care qualification, for some presentations in selected countries. It is the participant’s responsibility to ascertain whether these points are suitable and valid for their personal acquisition and to apply to the relevant association for the accreditation of such points, with the exception of the UK and other specified countries where Webineyes will upload this information for you. Rules and regulations surrounding continuing education points differ from one association to another, in different countries and in the USA between different states. Webineyes does not take responsibility for the application of rules and regulations, incomplete information, rejection of points, or any change of rules and regulations. Webineyes also provides some webinars which are not accreditable for professional continuing education points because these are seen as providing value to those working within the eyecare field.
Registration for a webinar may be cancelled by a participant at anytime prior to the event. There is no refund nor cost applicable for non-participation by you, in any webinar(s) or event, unless in accordance with the prevailing refund policy below. If for any reason, a webinar is required to be postponed, replaced or cancelled by Webineyes, a notification email will be sent as soon as possible. Webineyes will then decide whether or not a specific webinar forms a fundamentally important part of the event and if so, it may then arrange an alternative date, subject or presenter, for which there will be no additional charge for the original booked participants to join. However, if Webineyes decides that the specific webinar(s) does/do not form a fundamental part of the event, then there will be no replacement webinar.
You may cancel your Webineyes pass and receive a full refund, no later than 30 days prior to the start of the Webineyes webinar, conference or other online event (as of midnight GMT) by submitting a refund request email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will require your name, credit card number, date and amount of purchase. You agree not to contact your credit card issuer with a refund request until you have submitted your request to Webineyes and provided us with 28 days to process your refund. You understand that submitting a refund request does not guarantee that you will receive a refund. There are no refunds available within 30 days of, during or after an event or conference, unless specifically advised by Webineyes.
